Toyota MR2 Type B intake conduit
This is the Type B intake for the MR2. An original was 3d scanned and used in modeling, then exact duplicates are 3d printed in strong tough TPU flexible filament. TPU does well in this application since it is far from the exhaust system and it has cold air running through it all of the time. I sold a number of these on feebay and everybody was very happy with their fit, appearance, and performance.
Because of 3d printing, there is an unavoidable rough area on the print. However, I orient the part in printing so that this rough area is on the bottom when it’s in place in the car, so it’s effectively invisible. The last picture shows this area.
Unfortunately these are Large, there are three parts, and it takes over 50 hours to print one…..so they’re Not inexpensive.
